Come Cheer With Us at the TD Five Boro Bike Tour — Sunday, May 3rd

One of NYC's biggest cycling celebrations kicks off right here at Barnett Newman Triangle!

This Sunday, May 3rd, Barnett Newman Triangle will be at the center of one of New York City's most beloved springtime traditions — and we want you to be there with us.

The TD Five Boro Bike Tour, organized by Bike New York, brings together thousands of cyclists from across the city and beyond for a 40-mile ride through all five boroughs. And this year, as in years past, the route begins right here in Tribeca — with our little Triangle sitting at the very start of the action.

Come Out and Cheer

We'll be out at the Triangle on Sunday morning, cheering on the riders as they set off on their journey through the city. It's a joyful, energetic morning — the kind that reminds you why living in New York is so special. Bring the kids, bring your neighbors, and come be part of the fun.

The more people we have showing up for our corner of the neighborhood, the more the Triangle becomes what we've always envisioned it to be: a true community landmark and gathering place. Events like this are a perfect reminder of the potential this space holds.

A Glimpse of What's Possible

For those of us who have been working toward a greener, more pedestrian-friendly Triangle, the Bike Tour is more than just a fun event — it's a preview. When the streets fill with cyclists and the neighborhood comes alive around this space, it's easy to imagine what BNT could look like with native plantings, more greenery, and room for people to actually gather and linger.

That vision is closer than ever. The Friends of BNT are in active conversations with Council Member Christopher Marte, the NYC Department of Parks and Recreation, and the Department of Transportation about near-term improvements. In the meantime, come see the Triangle at its liveliest this Sunday.
